Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah – Ep 2832 – Full Episode – 3rd October, 2019

Wow, Jetha. Wonderful.
– Dad.. – Yes. Jethalaal, agreed
you remember the 11 vows. But you said it in Gujarati
and I didn’t follow them. How shall I say it in Hindi?
It’s in Gujarati. No worries, Aiyar.
Let me translate it in Hindi and explain everyone, all right?
– Please. Thank you, Mr. Mehta. Pleas, Mr. Mehta. These 11 vows for life,
‘Mahavrat’ are as follows.
Truth. Non-violence. Non-stealing.
– No. ‘Truth, nonviolence,
no robbery.” Jethalaal, non-stealing means
no robbery. Fine.
– It’s one and the same. Non-possession.
Not accumulating things. Self-discipline duty towards the country control of palate fearlessness removal of untouchability and equal respect
for all religions. Wonderful! Thank you.
Thank you, Mr. Mehta. So, friends, the first vow
is the truth. Regarding which dad told us
yesterday while solving Bhide’s puzzle. That truth is something that can’t be cut by any sword.
– Definitely. And truth is something
that won’t face any misfortune. That’s why, it’s believed,
‘Truth alone triumphs’. ‘Truth alone triumphs!’ ‘Truth alone triumphs!’ The glory of truth is praised
even in our sacred scripture. It’s believed,
‘truth, divinity, beauty’. And Mahatma Gandhi’s second vow,
non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi
was the worshipper and follower of truth and non-violence. In the entire world there can’t be a better gift than non-violence
which Mahatma Gandhi gave us. Definitely.
– I have already told you all about non-violence. Gandhi believed expecting bad
for yourself or others is also a violence. Right. As a respect
to Gandhi’s message of non-violence,
this day is celebrated as International Day
of Non-Violence in the world. Keeping non-violence
as the weapon without any sword or any shield Gandhi brought independence
to our country. We were discussing
Gandhi’s ‘Mahavrat’. Carry on.
– Right. – Right. Gandhi’s third vow
is non-stealing. This means,
to refrain from stealing. Stealing doesn’t only
refer to snatching but also to take someone
else’s things without his permission.
– Correct. Mr. Champaklaal. I’ll speak about the fourth vow since it’s very close
to my heart. Yes. – That is, ‘Aparigraha’. This refers to hoarding more
resources than we’re going to use.
– Right. Just like stealing is a sin similarly, hoarding of resources
such a food clothing and other objects
of wordly pleasure is also not right. You’re right, Bhide. Mahatma Gandhi wanted
to convey to us the values of austerity. The fewer things we want the more we shall spare
for those who need them more than us. Right.
– You’re right. Absolutely right. How many umbrellas do you own? Not more than I need. All the umbrellas I own
are required. Of course, they are. But do you use all of them? Yes. Mr. Champaklaal. Mahatma Gandhi’s fifth vow
was that of celibacy. Celibacy?
– Yes. Celibacy has a
much broader meaning. It refers to total control
over your senses not only in form but in thought and action too. Oh! Yes. Keeping a control
over your appetite is also a form of celibacy,
Jetha. Absolutely. Mahatma Gandhi’s sixth vow was
‘Swavalamnban’. Self-reliance. That was the answer
to your question, Jetha. Wise men say, God helps those who help themselves. Right.
– Absolutely. Baga, your wise men were right. Those who are self-reliant can find their way to success no matter how limited
their means are. Correct. Mahatma Gandhi’s seventh vow
is ‘Asprishyata’ which can also
be termed as untouchability and caste and racial bias. Our nation is the
world’s largest democracy where people from
various cultures and religions co-exist. Communal and religious divides untouchability and casteism
still stand as the biggest threat to the
integrity of our nation. We must fight
these social evils. Yes, that’s right. Friends there’s one vow
of Mahatma Gandhi that I’ve always
followed diligently. That is the vow of fearlessness. Yes. When you walk the path
of honesty no matter what the situation is you will never fear anyone
or anything. That’s why,
I’m never intimidated no matter what the situation is. Absolutely. We know that Sodhi
but sometimes we get intimidated
by your fearlessness. So, you should practice this one. Fearlessness. Fearlessness not only refers to physical strength but also
mental courage. Yes.
– Yes. Mr. Mehta, one will feel brave only when the mind is free
of fear. Mahatma Gandhi spoke about freedom from fear of all sorts. Mr. Champaklaal. Now, I shall speak about
my favourite vow. That is ‘Swadeshi’. This refers to the products
manufactured in India as well as our cultural values. Mahatma Gandhi always promoted
‘Swadeshi’. The Khadi fabric I’m wearing and that spinning wheel
are symbols of this. The spinning wheel may
be obsolete now but the ideology of ‘Swadeshi’ should never be forgotten. Yes. – Absolutely. That’s why, at my shop,
I always promote products made in India. How wonderful, Jethalaal. Mr. Nattu,
you’re absolutely right. Using products made in India will bring profits to
our businessmen and artisans. I must tell you all that the credit for ISRO’s success
can be largely attributed to
the ‘Swadeshi’ ideology. The DRDO..
– What’s that? The DRDO.
– Jethalaal, it’s the Defence Research
and Development Organisation. [PopatlaalThe DRDO
and the Make in India Foundation are both based on
‘Swadeshi’ ideologies. Henceforth, we will also
promote Indian brands. Mahatma Gandhi’s 10th vow was
‘Aswad’ which means, renouncing food. Exactly. It’s the sense of taste that leads to
wrong eating habits. And most of the diseases
root from unhealthy eating habits. And this is why, I always encourage
a healthy diet. And now it’s time for Mahatma Gandhi’s 11th and final vow. And that is
‘Sarvadharm Samabhav’. Everyone lives harmoniously
in Gokuldham Society. Yes! Abdul! That’s why love resides in every corner
of Gokuldham Society. – Yes! That’s why Gokuldham Society
is regarded as ‘mini India’. You are right..
– That’s right.. Wow, Ms. Babita!
That is so true! Today, the residents
of Gokuldham Society shall take a vow.. Yes..
– Yes.. With equal respect
for all the religions.. With equal respect
for all the religions.. We shall strive to abide
by all the vows of Gandhi. We shall strive to abide
by all the vows of Gandhi.. We shall spread his message
throughout the world. We shall spread his message
throughout the world.. Hail India!
– Hail India.. Friends, Dinkar had written
a remarkable poem. I am reminded of a section
of that poem. If I have your consent,
can I share it with you? Go ahead.. Of course.. Come on, Jethalaal. Wow! Dinkar had written.. ‘Don’t try to limit Gandhi’s
teachings to a country.’ ‘They are meant for
many ages to come.’ ‘Gandhi is the hope and
inspiration to the world.’ ‘Gandhi has developed
the humanity.’ That’s beautiful!
– Wow.. Wow, Mr. Mehta! Wow.. That was beautiful! Friends, on this occasion I would like to talk
about another great man. It’s a great coincidence that he was born
on 2nd October as well. He came up with the slogan ‘Hail the soldier,
hail the farmer’. He was an inspiration. Let us commemorate
Late Lal Bahadur Shastri. I pray to Lord
that we can follow the footsteps of these great men and build a new nation. Absolutely.. We will never forget
this day, right? To experience this day
is a reward in itself. Is it all right if my father
does not give you a reward? Of course. I told you,
this event itself was rewarding. – Yes..
– No, you are right but I am going to give everyone
a special reward. Hey.. Yes! What could be more special
than this? Hold on.
Tapu and friends.. Ready, Grandpa! Give the rewards to everyone.
– Okay, Grandpa. Oh, wow! ‘My experiments with truth.’ Gandhi’s autobiography! Wow, this is in Bengali! ‘My experiments with truth.’
This is amazing! Wow!
Thank you, sir! Thank you, Dad! Okay.. This is a best gift
for a writer. ‘My experiments with truth.’ ‘My experiments with truth.’ This is the most special reward! Yes. You need to read the book
and encourage others to do the same. Only then, the motive
behind this reward will get fulfilled. Of course. Father of the nation
Mahatma Gandhi Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. And our dearest father. Our country India and the whole world is going to celebrate
his 150th birthday. If we truly introspect
ourselves and think then we will realize that in today’s
progressive era’s and in this blind rush we are forgetting
Mr. Gandhi’s values and principles. And we are forgetting
those places which is the foundation
of Mr. Gandhi’s life and freedom movement. Although, we take our kids
to tourist spot movie theatres, restaurants and to different countries
for travelling. But we don’t take them
to those places attached to Mr. Gandhi
which played an important role during our freedom movement. On behalf of ‘Tarak Mehta
Ka Oolta Chasma’ shows team we are trying to teach
our coming generation about the history
of our nation. So, let’s go. We will take you
to Mr. Gandhi’s those places which are highlighted
with golden words in the history
of our nation. Let’s go to Porbandar. ‘Porbandar’ ‘Kirti Mandir’ Look at this, Kids This is the place where Mr. Gandhi was born which is knows as
‘Kirti Mandir’ now. And somewhere nearby
Ms. Kasturba used to stay. Before ‘Kirti Mandir’
was constructed there was a three
storey mansion here which was purchased by
Mahatma Gandhi’s grandfather that is Harjivan Das Gandhi
in 17th century. Later as a gesture of respect this place was built again as ‘Kirti Mandir’. Which was inaugurated
in the year 1950 by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Wow, isn’t the architecture
of this temple beautiful? That’s because
there is a special thing behind
the construction of this temple. This monument symbolises various religions like Hindu, Buddhism, Jain, Parsi Christianity and Islam. That is why this temple is a symbol
of religious integration. Considering Mr. Gandhi’s
79 years of life the length and width
of this memorial are 79 feet. The words ‘Truth’
and ‘Non-violence’ are written. It’s a wonderful experience! The design is really unique. Nanji Kalidas Mehta asked Prushottambhai Mistry
to do the entire architecture. This place is now taken care of
by the archaeological department of Government of India. There are rooms dedicated
to Maganlal Gandhi and Mahadev Desai, who were
close to Mr. Gandhi. Mahadev Desai was a writer
and Mr. Gandhi’s secretary. Maganlal Gandhi was
Mr. Gandhi’s cousin. He suggested
the word ‘Satyagraha’ should be used while referring
to Gandhi’s nonviolence methods. Come. Let’s go inside.
– Yes.. Friends, we will take you
to Rajkot from Porbandar. In this modern age,
it is very important that we teach our children
about Gandhi and his principles. The message Mr. Gandhi gave we must share it
with this generation. You could know about
the places and things that is connected to Mahatma. You should watch it
along with your kids. So that the next generation
is enlightened. So, let’s watch ‘Taarak Mehta Ka
Oooltah Chashmah’ together. Keep watching and keep smiling.
