No jail time for woman convicted of animal cruelty

HER DOGS AND HER FUTURE RIGHT TO OWN THEM THAT MOST UPSET HER. THE JUDGE CONVICTED HER LAST WEEK OF 10 COUNTS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY FOR WHAT WERE DESCRIBED AS DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS AT THE WOLFEBORO ESTATE WHERE SHE WAS RAISING AND BREEDING AS MANY AS 90 EUROPEAN GREAT DANES AT ONE TIME. AT HER SENTENCING THIS MORNING, FAY TELLING A JUDGE SHE BELIEVES THE 84 DOGS TAKEN FROM HER HOME IN JUNE ARE NOT BEING WELL CARED FOR AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY. SHE ASKED THAT SHE BE ABLE TO KEEP 9 OF THEM, AND OVERSEE THE RE-HOMING OF THE REST TO PEOPLE SHE KNOWS EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. INSTEAD, HE RULED THAT SHE CANNOT OVERSEE WHERE THEY GO, AND THAT SHE CAN ONLY EVER HAVE ONE PET AT A TIME, THAT IS SPAYED OR NEUTERED, AND THAT SHE PAY RESTITUTION OF $800,000. SHE SAYS SHE’LL APPEAL, WHICH MEANS THE SEIZED DOGS STILL CANNOT BE ADOPTED.>>I ASK YOU ALL TO JUST PRAY FOR MY DOGS.>>ANY PLAN TO SURRENDER ANY OF THEM?>>KNOW. LOVE THEM TOO MUCH. WANT TO SEE THEM GO TO WONDERFUL, LOVING HOMES THAT ARE COMPETENT. SO HAPPY CHRISTMAS.>>I THINK TO HOLD THESE ANIMALS THROUGH ANOTHER APPEAL PROCESS SIBLING TO MAKE A POINT IS NOT BRING THEM — PUTTING THEM IN THE BEST INTEREST OF WHAT THEY NEED RIGHT NOW. JENNIFER: THE JUDGE ALSO ORDERED THAT IF SHE APPEALS, SHE MUST PAY $2000 FOR EACH DOG.
