National Health Library Strategy: a message from Paul Reid CEO

The vision for the National Library and
Knowledge Service is that all staff will have access to knowledge and will apply it whenever or where ever they need it. The new strategy published last year sets out the future direction of the service. The challenge for you all as valued members of the National Library Service is to give this strategy your fullest
commitment. The library service will be structurally aligned with the new health regions, a crucial element of the SlainteCare reform programme. It is important that library services are positioned in HSE so that they deliver the best possible service for our staff. This will have a positive impact on patient care. I’ve every confidence that the implementation of this strategy will be a success
leading to a more equal and evidence-based health service
