WE’RE JOINED BY MATT YARNALL, AN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST, ALONG WITH TIM BROWN WITH LEXINGTON-FAYETTE ANIMAL CONTROL — WELCOME. Who needs a rabies shot? How can someone get a low-cost shot? Any special rules to follow? Why is a rabies shot so important? All cats must be in a carrier and all dogs must be on a leash. Animal licenses also available: $8 for altered animal license ; $40 for unaltered animal license. Response 1:=State law requires all dogs, cats and ferrets have a current rabies vaccination. Question 2:=How can someone get a low-cost shot? Response 2:=Our annual low-cost clinic will be 6-9 pm May 7 at Douglass Park. Question 3:=Any special rules to follow? Response 3:=All dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
