Dogs. cats. and other furry friends found some great homes over the weekend. The 11-th annual Adopt-a-Thon helped new pet owners, as well as existing ones, welcome a new animal to the family. Nearly 40 animals have
been adopted over the weekend…which is nearly double from last years event. An additional day was added to the beginning of the event. with the hopes that more adopters would be able to come in. It gives us a little bit of breathing room with getting a large amount of animals out of the building at one time, and it just shines a light a little bit on adoption. We’re able to reduce fees with people a few times a year, so it’s kind of nice that we can do that and it helps us too with getting some animals in perfect homes. Even though today is the final day for the Adopt-a-Thon. you can stop by the Coulee Region Humane Society any day to adopt a pet.
