How to Create Chat Rooms using WordPress for your Users

Hey there, welcome to WPBeginner channel.
Today I’ll show you how to create a chat room using WordPress for your users. If you are looking for something to use on
your site rather than using IRC or Skype, then install and activate the chat room plugin. Once activated, you’ll see a new menu option
called chat rooms. Click add new to create a new chat room for
your site. Name it something like say, Marketing. Only logged in users on the site will be able
to use it. And this what it looks like on your site.

  1. Hi Guys. The plugin you recommend doesn't seem to work with the latest release of WordPress – at least for me nothing appears on the dashboard menu. Can you recommend a different chat room plugin that will do the same job?  Many thanks for all the helpful videos.

  2. yea this doesn't work for the current version also sucks that you can't edit the page or just add the chat room to a page but it has to be a page on itself

  3. This is close to what I'm looking for but maybe you can help me out on something a bit more. I want to start a site for this youtube channel involving travel and kids stuff. I'd like people to be able to select a name without signing up to anything. Just choose a name and start typing. Then, I'd like them to be able to post video and pictures up to a specified size limit. Those photos and videos need to be auto-removed after 30 minutes or a specified time.

Does anyone know of a chat client like this?
