Final shark dragging suspect asking Hillsborough judge to dismiss animal cruelty charge


CHANCE. TODAY WE ARE EXPECTING WHAT COULD BE A MAJOR UPDATE IN THE CASE OF A MAN ACCUSED OF DRAGGING AND SHOOTING A SHARK. THE VIDEO WENT VIRAL ACROSS THE NATION AND NOW THE LAST OF THE MAN ACCUSED LAST THE JUDGE TO DISMISS THE CHARGES. Reporter: I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE ARGUMENT TO DISMISS CHARGES AND HIS ATTORNEY BASICALLY SAYS THE OTHER SIDE CANNOT PROVE MUCH OF ANYTHING. ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS HAVE BEEN TELLING ME THAT PUNISHMENT HAS NOT BEEN HARSH ENOUGH AGAINST ANY OF THE MAN ACCUSED. THIS WAS A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE. HE IS THE LAST PERSON IN THE GROUP ACCUSED OF HAVING SOMETHING TO DO WITH DRAGGING A SHARK BEHIND THE BOAT AND SHOOTING IT. HE DID NOT ACCEPT A PLEA DEAL AND DECIDED TO GO TO TRIAL AND COULD SPEND A DECADE BEHIND BARS IF FOUND GUILTY. THE ATTORNEYS ARGUE THAT THE CHARGES SHOULD BE DISMISSED BECAUSE HE LAWFULLY CAUGHT THE SHARK BY HOOK AND LINE AND THEY CLAIM THERE IS NO PROOF THAT HE KNEW HIS FRIEND WAS GOING TO SHOOT THE SHARK. THEY ALSO CLAIM THERE IS NO EVIDENCE SHOWING HE HELPED WITH THE SHOOTING. THE COURT HEARING IS SET FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND IF THE CASE DOES GO TO TRIAL IT SET TO
