We captured every happy note
on post-its, so we had a happiness wall, or joy wall.
And after two weeks or so you get a sense of what kind
of environment do we need to build a high performing culture.
Sometimes it had to do with logistics or something else,
but it gives you lessons learned, how you want to build
a happy project. Happy people do perform better, the quality
is better. If you’re burned out, if you’re tired, you know, tired
software developers produce crap code. Why don’t you do
it right in the first place? I love that, a happy wall.
And I love how that’s completely bottom-up,
so it’s not like you’re trying to work out what
a happiness framework is. You’re just building it from
this question getting answered every day.
