Coulee Region Humane Society Raises Money

The Coulee Region Human Society is asking for your help. The non-profit’s animal control. protection. and rescue department. is raising money to build specialized housing to help care of injured raptors. specifically hawks. owls. and eagles. The three houses they’re looking to build costs about 6-thousand dollars. La Crosse County’s animal control specialist says with the new houses. they’ll be able to care for the birds at their own facility. In the past, we’ve always had to transfer these animals on. We kind of do what I’ve always said was a triage, stabilize them, x-rays, and then get them on to another rehablitator because we just did not have the proper housing for them. There is a go fund me page set up to raise money for the housing. You can find it at coulee humane dot org.
