Alaskan couple travels 3,810 miles to adopt beagle from Triangle rescue

A COUPLE TRAVELED NEARLY 4000 MILES JUST TO ADOPT A BEAGLE FROM A RALLY RESCUE. CAPTURING THEIR FIRST MOMENTS WITH HER PUPPY AND TELLING US WHY THEY CAME SUCH A LONG WAY TO BRING HIM HOME. 3810 MILES. THAT IS HOW FAR THEY TRAVEL JUST TO MEET ROONEY. THERE ARE VERY FEW IN ALASKA . WE WERE LOOKING AT A BEAGLE IN MISSOURI AND THOUGHT WE HAD A PRETTY GOOD CHANCE WITH IT, BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY STOPPED COMMUNICATING WITH US. THE COUPLE LIVES IN JUNEAU, ALASKA. THEY SPEND A LOT OF TIME OUTDOORS AND THEY WANTED A BEAGLE TO BRING ALONG ON ALL OF THEIR ADVENTURES. WE DO A LOT OF TRAVELING IN A CAMPER AND A BEAGLE IS PERFECT FOR THAT. BEAGLES ARE RARE IN ALASKA AND AFTER STRIKING OUT WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY THEY FINALLY FOUND TRIANGLE BEAGLE RESCUE. IT IS NICE TO SEE WHEN THEY COME IN AND HAVE SO MANY ISSUES AND EVENTUALLY YOU SEE THEM GET ADOPTED. HEATHER O’NEILL SAYS ROONEY WAS FOUND LOCKED IN A CAGE ON THE SIDE OF A ROAD ON A VERY COLD DECEMBER NIGHT. A SAMARITAN TOOK HER IN AND BROUGHT HER TO TRIANGLE EAGLE RESCUE.
