Add-ons for Google Docs & Sheets

Google Docs and Sheets do all sorts of awesome
stuff. But sometimes you need to do a little more.
Add-ons are new tools created by our developer partners that literally add on capabilities
to your documents and spreadsheets. To start, open a document or spreadsheet and
click on Get add-ons in the menu bar. Browse through the store, then choose the
add-on you’d like to install. And just like that, the add-on will be available
to use right away. There are add-ons for everyone, but here are
a few that you may find handy. With Avery Label Merge, you can easily set
up and print address labels and name tags in Docs, by pulling in data from Sheets.
Simply pop in your column headers, merge, and it’s time to print.
With the EasyBib add-on, you can automatically site sources by searching for book titles,
journal names, or websites, right inside your document.
You can format these sources in MLA, APA, and Chicago style, then automatically insert
them into your document. Or, say you want to create a personalized
email invitation to an upcoming event. With Merge by MailChimp, you can add custom
info to your document by pulling it in from a spreadsheet.
Preview your email and when you’re ready, hit send.
Need to get sign off on a document or spreadsheet? With Letterfeed Workflows you can add the
email addresses of reviewers in the sidebar, request approval, and then easily see when
your document has been signed off, all without leaving Docs or Sheets.
These are just some of the add-ons available today, with lots more on the way.

  1. Thank you soooooo much Google for this! This is extremely helpful and handy when it comes especially for me to put my references on my school documents. Everybody should appreciate this service from Google.

  2. Boeing is using the NSA to torture and terrorize me. They are retaliating against me for exposing structural flaws on 777 and 787 horizontal stabilizers. Missing side load fittings can seize bearings, crack pivot pins, and catastrophic failure can result from a divergent dynamic oscillatory event known as flutter. The missing Malaysian 777 was probably doomed by a failed pivot pin causing the tail to break away from the airplane.

  7. The add ons are very interesting but the narrators voice and accent made me want to punch him in the face

  8. 8 Ball Bobbers and choppers a California Bay area custom motorcycle shop is now looking for corporate sponsors, for their startup shop and reality show based around it. We offer many incentives. Email us through your corporate office and we will send you all the information needed.

  9. This shows exactly why not to use Google Docs & Sheets.  All of these are available and easer through Microsoft word.  Mail Chimp is really stupid because either way you have to create a data base.  It's harder to use than Microsoft's Wizard which you don't have to specially download.  This is just a bias video made by Goggle to make them look better and make more money.  I do love but everything else, please stop.

  10. In its infancy with (micro apps). However, smart move. Add new features and functionality to Google Apps using Add-ons (or create your own using Google Apps script). #productivity

  11. I have evolved with technology going from Word Perfect 5.1 on to Word, the Office apps and Open Office.  When I first got wind of "Cloud Computing" I thought we were in for it with high costs and monopolies on our tech tools.  Thanks Google for making things easier affordable, easy to use and share among colleagues.  These Add-ons look awesome!!

  12. dear google.
is there some way of using youtube with my original youtube account and with ALL of my favorites and everything that got highjacked by this google + account I was forced to create?
and do i really have to ask such questions here? because there is no actual support for this website. only a feedback option where you will never get an answer from anyone.
    thank you.

  13. Add-ons for Google Docs and Sheets

I have used docs/drive for a while, but am only just now completely switching my workflow to Google Apps for Work. This was helpful as I didn't know add-ons were available.

  14. There is no possibility to use your own css stylesheets. Google pivot tables and add-ons are using their own stylesheets and these sheets ignore everything you change in the style (aligning, fonts, colors, background colors….) Google pivot tables are absolute useless crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Do I share my information on my doc or sheets with the company from the add on? Can they read and use that information in docs where I use their add on? What about other docs in my drive? I find add ons very helpful but I'm not sure if it's safe with my information .. Help please? Thanks!

  16. Just wrote a free add-on for Google Docs that I think people might find useful. It basically cleans formatting from text copied from websites/PDFs/word docs. It allows you to preserve italics and bold while clearing other formatting and removing line breaks, multiple spaces etc.
