Abdón Rodríguez – events for Google Developer Groups

My name is Abdón
and I’m a front-end developer at IBM Research. I make the interfaces
for the scientific prototypes that we have at the company. When I finished my studies,
I heard about Google Developer Groups and went to the first event I could
to see what it was all about. It was a great experience
so I stayed on to help out with the events before making the step up
to actually organising them. The GDGs are local groups that
get together periodically to talk about the latest technologies
in the world of programming. At these meetings,
there is so much to learn, but the relationships
you make with others who share the same passion
are just as important. There’s no doubt that being involved
with the GDGs has helped me professionally.
