3/18 Pet of the Week: Bella

A WALK. I CANNOT SAY THAT, MY DOUG GETS
EXCITED. WE HAVE PATTY VOLLMER AND BELLA. SHE IS SO EXCITED TO BE HERE.>>SHE IS. CHRIS: BELLA IS NINE YEARS OLD.>>SHE IS AND SHE HAS BEEN
VACCINATED AND PREVIOUSLY SPAYED
END SHE IS READY FOR A FAMILY —
AND SHE IS READY FOR A FAMILY. A FAMILY THAT WOULD LIKE TO TAKE
HER FOR WALKS BECAUSE SHE DOES
HAVE ENERGY. YOU WOULD NEVER THINK SHE WAS
NINE YEARS OLD. SHE IS NOT RESTRICTED WITH
ARMORED — WITH ARTHRITIS. SHE WROTE WONDERFULLY IN THE
CAR. SHE COULD PROBABLY USE LESS
TREAT SEND A FEW MORE WALKS. EDEN: I — CHRIS: I HEAR YOU,
BELLA. PEOPLE OFTEN GO FOR PUPPIES BUT
THERE IS A BENEFIT GOING FOR
OLDER DOGS, WELL BEHAVED, A GOOD
NATURE. SHE IS ABOUT MIDDLE OF THE ROAD
AS FAR AS ACTIVITY.>>SHE DOES NOT NEED TO BE A
ROADRUNNER BUT SHE DOES NEED HER
WALKS FOR HER EXERCISE AND IT IS
GOOD FOR THE HUMAN TAKING HER. SHE PROBABLY HAS SOME BEAGLE IN
HER. CHRIS: SHE IS A TALKER, TOO.>>SHE RODE WELL AND I USED A
CAR SEAT TETHER. WHEN YOU’RE TRAVELING IN A CAR
WITH YOUR PET, YOU WANT TO KEEP
THE DOG IN A CARRIER OR ON A
TETHERED LEASH. CATS SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN THEIR
CARRIER. SAFETY FACTOR, OBVIOUSLY. YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR PETS FOR A
RIDE AHEAD OF TIME SO THEY ARE
USED TO THE CAR. CHRIS: MY DOG HAS PROBLEMS WITH
THIS. IT TOOK US A LONG TIME.>>HAVE A BLANKET IN THE CARRIER
WITH THEM AND IF YOU’RE GOING TO
ANOTHER HOUSE, YOU WANT TO HAVE
THEM ON A LEASH WHEN YOU ARE
OUTSIDE. NEW PLACE. INVESTIGATING THE SMELLS, THEY
CAN GET LOST EASILY AND YOU WANT
TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MICROCHIP
AND THE ID TAGS ARE UP TO DATE
AND THEY HAVE CURRENT
INFORMATION AND KEEP THE COLORS ON — COLLARS ON. CHRIS: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN
ADOPTING BELLA OR ANY OTHER PET,
YOU CAN GO TO THE WISCONSIN
HUMANE SOCIETY’S MILWAUKEE
BRANCH.
